AREAS (Academic Relations between Europe and ASia) is an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project funded by the European Commission and organized by a Partnership of some the most prestigious universities in Europe and these targeted Asian countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam.

AREAS allows you to live an invaluable experience by undertaking a study or research period in Europe. It is open to undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students and scholars and to academic staff. The project and the scholarships are financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 – Strand 1 programme.

The project is currently managing the mobilities selected under the First Cohort in 2012. A new call for additional scholarships will be open from September 15th to November 30th 2012. Check the scholarships available within the Second Call for Applications for the Second Cohort.
